Dr. Giselle Corbie-Smith stands at the forefront of leadership development as an internationally acclaimed thought leader and scholar focused on removing barriers to healthcare. With her groundbreaking research—documented in over 160 publications—she has established essential frameworks for engagement practices that ensure all communities receive quality healthcare regardless of background or circumstances.

Dr. Corbie-Smith holds a BA from Cornell University, an MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and an MSc in clinical epidemiology from Emory University. After completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Yale University, she now serves as Kenan Distinguished Professor and Associate Provost at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
